Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: What is Remy Hair?
A: The highest-quality human hair available! I use only the best Peruvian and Indian human remy hair. Remy hair still possesses the cuticle layer, which is the outermost part of the hair strand; it resembles shingles on a roof. The cuticle layer of remy hair flows in the same direction, flowing the way it would naturally. The cuticle layer is very important when it comes tangling and longevity of use. When the cuticle layer is intact and lying flat, the hair is capable of reflecting light, which gives it a shiny appearance.

Q: Is the fishing wire on your Heavenly Halo's delicate?
A: Yes and no. Under normal circumstances the wire should not break and is very durable. It is extremely tough and will not break if tugged on, but will melt instantly if it comes in contact with an ultra hot heat source. So avoid direct exposure to it with any hot tools such as a curling or flat iron. Blow drying is ok, but keep it a good distance away from the wire.

Q: What if it breaks?
A: No problem. If the wire breaks you can send the Halo back to me and I will repair it free of charge!

Q: How many grams of hair do you use?
A: My Heavenly Halo's are made up of anywhere from 150-200 grams of human hair. The weight varies with length and thickness.

Q: What type of hair care products should I use?
A: Treat this hair as if it were your own, so use whatever you normally would for shampooing, conditioning, and styling. If you don't use heavy styling products you should rarely need to wash your Lou Locks. Since the roots are not attached to your scalp the Halo will not absorb oil as your natural hair does. But when you do wash your Lou Locks, you should avoid submerging the area at the top in water. This is where the product is bonded together, and may come apart if soaked for too long. However, a quick washing to the body and ends is perfectly fine, so feel free to shampoo and condition your Lou Locks with the same products you use on your own hair.

Also, please note that after washing the hair it may exhibit a slight wave. This is especially true with the Peruvian hair that I use. You may need to flat iron the hair after washing to restore it to the straight condition that it will arrive in.

Q: How long will it last?
A: Your Lou Locks can last for a very long time depending upon how you maintain them. Treat them like your own hair and take very good care of them to achieve maximum life longevity. Putting your Lou Locks through harsh chemical processes will damage them just as they would your own hair, so use good judgment and treat them well. With minimal styling, my products should last anywhere from one three years.
